A Word from the Inventor of Shots N’ Shakes: Perfect Food/Perfect Taste
Dear Patients and General Public,
The world of medicine and society are forever changed. I know because I’ve watched, often with frustration, helping patients fight their obesity-related illness. I used diet strategies over decades, using teams of professionals. Eventually I invented a food product that profoundly improved metabolism. What I could not beat or overcome for those patients was hunger. Hunger was winning.
That has changed!
The “shots” that changed the world did not miraculously appear on the world stage. They came from diligent scientific observation, research, money, and persistence. I was involved in the initial clinical trials in the late 1990’s involving a drug called Byetta—still available but obsolete. It was developed from the saliva of the Gila Monster lizard of the US desert southwest. Keen scientific observation regarding how the saliva improved insulin metabolism led to the research.

Our Team
Anne Andry RD., MS
Anne is a Registered Dietician with a Master’s degree in nutrition from the University of Mississippi. Anne has been counseling obese patients for 30 years. She is a Certified Research associate and has participated in numerous scientific research studies, including those involving metabolism, endocrinology, and nutrition. Anne is the scientific brains behind the simple diet design of Shakes N’ Shots. Keep it simple, is her motto.

Cheryl Grace MS, JD, CAC
Cheryl has her Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from Temple University. Her thesis was on helping the disadvantaged with diet and exercise strategies. She is a Certified Addiction Counselor and uses many of her skills developed with addictions to apply to food addiction and cravings. The chemistry and behavioral abnormalities are strikingly similar. Cheryl also has a law degree from Loyola University in New Orleans.

Perfect Food N’ Perfect Taste
Weight loss shots are available now by prescription from a health care provider. Be sure that the product used is safe and from a reputable source. The United States FDA has approved production of the two major compounds: semaglutide and tirzepitide.
Semaglutide is marketed as Ozempic and Wegovy. Ozempic is the diabetic brand name and Wegovy is the weight loss brand name. They are both semaglutide.
Tirzepitide is marketed as Mounjaro and Zepbound. Mounjaro is the diabetic brand name and Zepbound is the weight loss brand name.
Due to massive demand across the globe, shortages are common, therefore the FDA has allowed sales of generic products. It is important to use generic products that have FDA approval for manufacture and distribution.
Both shots work in similar fashion. These drugs mimic natural hormones produced by the intestine that signal fullness and satiation. They delay stomach emptying and transit of food through the intestine. Both compounds have direct effect on the brain, pancreas, and liver to alter metabolism and behavior. All of these effects combine to reduce food intake.
While generally safe, they should be supervised by a health care provider. Inspection of laboratory tests, thyroid function, and side effects is vital.
