All Shots N’ Shakes products have the same basic nutrient mix. The only difference is the flavorings: vanilla, chocolate, chocolate lactose free, and chicken soup.

Ingredients

The base ingredients are egg white and fat-free milk solids which are fortified with branched-chain and essential amino acids: leucine, isoleucine, valine, histidine, methionine, threonine, and lysine. In addition, these amino acids are micronized, meaning they are pre-digested and broken into basic particles, not requiring digestion in the stomach, intestines, or liver. Therefore, these amino acids are absorbed faster than sugar (which requires gates, pumps, and insulin) and can enter either the cellular energy cycle or the protein repair cycles within minutes of ingestion.

Taste

The magic of Shots N’ Shakes is the taste. Micronized amino acids are incredibly bitter and rarely are used as fortified food due to this fact. Our food scientists overcame this obstacle.
